This was my favorite Vietnamese restaurant to go to when I was living in West Hills and had last minute cravings. In my opinion, the taste of the cuisine here feels authentic. I have visited it a few times and tried different dishes on the menu including the Bún riêu, Phở, Bún bò Huế, and Canh Chua. All were solid! Also tried the bánh bèo and really enjoyed it as well (see picture). Tastes great with fish sauce if you're into it!
Amazing food value for money good quantity big portion staff is really friendly and good service.
So damn good. Hard to find a place with rich flavor in their pho like this! I ordered the pho tai. I've tried enough pho around the area to know this is THE BEST.
Legit Viet food!! Bun Bo Hue is fire with huge chunks of gelatinous beef in a deep rich broth. Stewed carrots add that perfect sweetness. Serving size is perfect.
The workers are extremely nice. Best Pho ever!! and the ambiance is really nice. My favorite is the eggs rolls, they are scrumptious.
I've tried many Pho places all over LA and so far this one is pretty close to what you eat in Vietnam. Best crunchy rolls The service is great, I felt like I went to a Vietnamese house to eat. I definitely recommend this place.
The perfect little hole in the wall restaurant that cooks killer food. I am already craving the food again 2 days later. I had the crispy butter beef entree and the lemongrass chicken with rice entree. It's so freaking good! I've never had anything like it. Both are spicy, and the sauces are just incredible. I feel so privileged to have found this place at random. I highly suggest eating here or ordering to-go.
This restaurant feels like you're visiting relatives or eating at your friend's parents' house. It's a cozy dining room with friendly welcoming hosts. I'm Filipino so it reminded me of like a "Titas and Titos" feeling. I'm glad that I chose this place to try Bun Bo Hue for the first time. It was flavorful and spicy and different enough from Pho (speaking of, they have some great options for these as well) that I felt I was expanding my Vietnamese Food palate. They included shredded cabbage that gave the bowl just the right kind of volume. I'm not sure exactly the meats (I'm assuming various pork slices and pork sausages) that were included but they were flavorful, tender and good. The broth was nicely herby and the noodles nice and chewy. I'm still thinking about this soup and I know a craving for more will hit me soon. The restroom (which is clean but also doubles as storage) is in the back, and you have to walk through the kitchen which feels awkward. Like I said, it feels like a home as well as a restaurant. For me, it truly felt like I was supporting a small, neighborhood, family small business and I recommend it if you enjoy this type of food. It's not bougie in any time of way, but for me, it's lovely and charming with a nice price point especially amid these current times of increasing prices.
Food is AMAZING, the Duck & Noodle is top tier. My has the best service, always recommending new dishes on the menu.
